Sehwag out of South Africa one-dayers

Virendra Sehwag has been breathed from the one-day series in South Africa due to shoulder problem, but he will play in the determining Test in Cape Town setting out William Ashley Sunday. Rohit Sharma has been keyed as his replacement for the one-dayers, and opener M Vijay has also been added as the team's 17th member.

Sehwag has already dropped the two premature World Twenty20s due to shoulder troubles, and the rest from the one-day series appears to be more than of a precautionary measure as he is stock still being exercised for the third Test. The conclusion intends India have n't fielded their straight one-day side since the New Zealand series in early 2009.

The lack of Sehwag leaves the Indian team with but two veritable openers, Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir, moving the determination to ask Vijay to stay on in South Africa for the one-dayers.

The five one-dayers against South Africa, getting Jan 12, are India's last opportunity to try out themselves in the 50-over formatting before the World Cup starts out side by side Feb.
